What is the difference between desulfurization tower and dust removal tower?

Most of the equipment for desulfurization of industrial waste gas is tower type equipment, that is, desulfurization tower. The FGD tower has been widely used since it was built with granite. It uses the principle of water film desulfurization and dust removal, and is also known as granite water film desulfurization and dust collector, or hemp water film desulfurization and dust collector. The utility model has the advantages of easy maintenance, and can achieve the effects of dust removal and desulfurization (denitrification) at the same time by preparing different dust removal agents. Now with the development of FRP technology, the desulfurization tower is gradually made of FRP. Compared with granite desulfurizer, FRP desulfurizer has low cost, easy processing, non rusting and light weight, so it will become the development trend of desulfurizer in the future.
The dedusting and desulfurizing tower has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, aging resistance, light weight, high strength, and strong service life. The product is of split combination type, which facilitates transportation and installation. The main body of the dedusting tower is made of modified high temperature resistant resin matrix composite material.
Common point: both are used for flue gas and smoke control of coal-fired boilers (desulfurization and dust removal)
difference:
Desulfurizer: the circulating water tank of the desulfurizer is integrated with the desulfurizer cylinder. When the pH value in the circulating water tank is not up to standard, it can be discharged from the drain outlet of the water tank and replaced with a new solution. If the desulfurizer is also responsible for dust removal, the dust can not be discharged after it is deposited at the bottom of the water tank, because the bottom of the tower is sealed, and the drain outlet can not discharge the deposited dust. Therefore, the users who order the desulfurization tower all have a dedusting equipment, and only the desulfurization fails to meet the standard, so they will install a set of desulfurization tower behind the dedusting equipment, or there is no dust in the flue gas to be treated.
Desulfurizing dust collector: as all users who have purchased it know, the premise for installing a desulfurizing dust collector is to have a basic water tank, and then place the FRP desulfurizing dust collector on the base of the water tank. A desulfurizing dust collector has no bottom cover, that is to say, the bottom is open, and the water in the basic water tank needs to be used for water circulation. The reason is that the desulfurizing dust collector is an integrated equipment for desulfurizing and dedusting, and the dust is also treated while desulfurizing, Then the dust will settle in the foundation pool, and when the ash accumulation reaches a certain amount, the on-site staff need to carry out the ash removal work, so as not to affect the purification efficiency.
Summary: Based on the above, the desulfurization tower is not recommended to be used for dust removal. If desulfurization and dust removal are required, glass fiber reinforced plastic desulfurization dust collector can be selected.
